ONLINE PHOTO COMPETITION "TO BE LIGHT" DEDICATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT - MAY 16 Ivo Jokin – initiator and organizer of the competition, director of the Municipal Center for Extracurricular Activities and Interest Activities, Baikal. The theme of the competition provoked 174 children and young people (from 4 to 18 years old) from all over the country to express their attitude to light. They have "sealed" in a unique and original way their view of the light around us, in addition to beautiful natural landscapes with sunrises and sunsets, many participants have captured beautiful natural phenomena associated with light - rainbow, sun halo, reflection and refraction of light, even and a partial lunar eclipse. The works are classified in 2 directions (municipal kindergartens and schools and kindergartens and schools from the country), in 4 age groups: kindergartens, 1 – 4 class, 5 – 7 class and 8 – 12 class. Our idea is for the competition to be held annually, expanding the range of participants, including students. The awarded works were ranked in these areas by a jury with representatives of the Municipal Center for Extracurricular Activities and Interest Activities, the Municipality of Dolna Mitropolia and the Union of Physicists in Bulgaria. The protocol with the awarded authors is published on the pages of the organizers, and the diplomas and prizes of the awarded children will be sent to them by mail. A virtual and real exhibition will be organized, and will be presented during the National Conference on Physics Education, which will take place in the fall of this year.
